Forearms
Hold a dumbbell with your palm facing up. Rest your forearm on a stable surface so your wrist hangs off the edge.
Slowly lower the weight towards the floor.
Curl your wrist upward as high as possible.
Tips
Keep your forearm flat and still on the surface throughout the set so only your wrist moves.
Lower the dumbbell under control until your wrist reaches a comfortable end range, then curl it upward through your full available range of motion.
Keep your grip firm enough that the dumbbell stays stable throughout the movement rather than rolling in your fingers.
Common mistakes
Lifting the forearm off the surface during the curl so the elbow and upper arm assist the movement.
Using a weight that causes the wrist to drop abruptly on the way down rather than lowering with control.
Make Every Set Count.
